Last week I read two books by Lauren F. Winner, Girl Meets God and Mudhouse Sabbath. I loved them both. Lauren is a Southern Jewish girl (not unlike myself) and she became Orthodox in late high school early college. She became a believer and was baptized into the Anglican church during her grad program at Cambridge.
She wrote both books about her own self discovery and the journey of learning to incorporate her Jewish heritage and background into her Christian faith. It was very thought provoking. Because of Lauren I am going to buy a Sedor (Jewish prayer book) and a Book of Common Prayer. I also bought a Mezzuzah for my door yesterday! Read Lauren's books I know you love them!
